Host Maggie Kirkwood welcomes Big Psych board members Jessica Nielson and Bryan Ebert. Jessica Nielson is a neuroscientist and psychedelic researcher with the University of MN. She also happens to be the lead chair person for the MN Psychedelic Task Force that was put in place by MN Governor, Tim Walz. Jessica talks about her decade long research into psychedelics and we learn about the latest psilocybin studies and results. Both give opinions on what plant medicines (psilocybin, MDMA, LSD, ketamine, etc.) work best for specific mental health issues (depression, PTSD, addiction, anxiety, etc). Bryan discusses his psychedelic therapy practice and we learn that both Jessica and Bryan co-founded the DecriMN Coalition helping to write the executive order with Minneapolis Mayor, Jacob Frye which essentially states that psychedelic medicine will be treated as the "lowest priority" of any offense in Minneapolis, MN.
